Providence College Athletics Director Bob Driscoll celebrated the grand re-opening of Schneider Arena on Friday, September 27. The College also is celebrating the completion of the Ray Treacy Track, which is due to open the next week. These two facilities continue a decade long campaign to improve the athletic and recreation facilities at Providence College. The campaign commenced in 2005 when the College opened Lennon Family Field (a field hockey and lacrosse complex). The next phase was the building of the Concannon Fitness Center, which was completed in 2007. In 2012, the College renovated Alumni Hall Gymnasium, the home of the Friar women's basketball and volleyball teams.
